Full-Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for Primary Care
Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) has an opportunity available for a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for primary care services. The providers duties will include management of primary care patients including examination treatment consultation follow-up referral and ordering labs/imaging. The provider will also participate in patient satisfaction programs quality improvement initiatives and any organizational or departmental goals and objectives to assure safe quality care. The provider will work in PSMCs outpatient clinic forty hours per week (four 10-hours on-site shifts) to meet PSMC patient needs.
PSMC offers the following compensation and benefits for this position:
- Compensation is dependent upon experience and the range is $119000 to $138000 per year.
- 260 hours of PTO per contract year.
- PSMC provides a CME allowance of $6000 annually for full-time providers (gross subject to taxes).
- Health insurance benefits are available to full-time employees.
- PSMC provides professional liability insurance coverage to all employed providers.
- PSMC has two retirement programs:
- PSMC and the employee each contribute 6% of earnings to a 401a retirement plan subject to I.R.S. contribution and compensation limits and five-year vesting; and
- Employees may voluntarily participate in a 457 retirement plan.
- PSMC is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligible employer.
- PSMCs Rural Health Clinic is a Colorado Health Service Corps site and a National Health Service Corps site and eligible providers can apply for the CHSC loan repayment program or the NHSC loan repayment program.

Qualifications
NPs must be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). PAs must be certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants.
