Job Description

Title: IT Consultant

Reports to: Director of Consulting

Status: Salaried - Exempt

Salary Range: $70051.87 - 94776.06 (aligned with companys pay band structure)


Summary Description

The IT Consultant (ITC) works within the FLORES Consulting division with businesses who need our expertise and knowledge to help streamline their operations via IT solutions. The ITC role provides guidance and support to other specialized roles within the CS Division. Supports clients to develop productive and efficient IT solutions and SOPS through the maximization of their business objectives. Ensures an organizations IT systems serve the best interests of the company and advise companies/clients on a wide range of issues involving its SOPS and tech platforms. The ITC role provides guidance and fractional services to support the FLORES business internal operations and IT structure.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary lead for IT consulting services clients. Provide advice and recommendations to clients for resolution of IT issues and internal controls relating to technological infrastructure. Acts as lead on client IT workshops and trainings both in person and webinar formats. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant changes into FLORES policies and strategies.

Service Delivery & Operations

Gauging the companys overall IT infrastructure health primarily by using key industry benchmarks and relevant technology integrations. Working with clients to prepare IT workflows and annual planning. Considering opportunities for the company to expand or grow their IT platforms. Generating three- to five-year IT needs forecasts. Provides GAP Analysis reporting and formulates strategic and practical plans to address IT needs. Development and integration of policies and implementation of new controls software(s) and or best practices chosen by client.

Client Support & Troubleshooting

Evaluating whether the clients current IT assets and investments are the best use of excess working capital by looking at return on investment (ROI) and comparisons with other potential IT solutions. Assist clients with technology platforms including industry specific solutions such as POS setups and integrations for our restaurant division customers. Provide training and guidance on new policies and procedures ensuring that all agreed upon deliverables from consulting scope are handed off successfully. Provide direction for SOPs as needed.

Compliance & Risk Management

Stay informed on changes in federal state and local IT regulations and laws to ensure client compliance. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications etc. Address any potential compliance risks and proactively resolve issues.

Process Improvement & Strategy

Create update and maintain technology solutions & detailed forecasts of the clients future IT operation needs. Devise plans and techniques to drive change and optimize IT solutions. Report on CS goals to the executive team.

Team Collaboration & Support

Formulate strategic and practical plans with fellow CS team to address resolutions to client processes. Foster a collaborative environment encouraging learning and professional growth within the team. Assist with meetings for existing new or potential clients. Engage in Consulting Department meetings and bring ideas to the table on how to enhance department performance.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in IT Information Systems or a related field required.
  • Experience in or certification in ERP HRIS and POS systems

Experience

  • 5 years of progressive experience in IT and technology experience
  • In-depth knowledge of how to write SOPs flow charts PPT presentations and GAAP reporting
  • Experience with excel and a variety of technology platforms

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to strategize and formulate business plans effectively and present them to leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook) and computer systems
  • High attention to detail with strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow professional appearance and dress code guidelines
  • Strong professionalism and decision-making skills

Work Environment - This position operates in a professional office environment and requires regular use of standard office equipment such as computers phones and copy machines. Some travel to client sites may be required. Flexibility in working hours may occasionally be necessary.

Physical Requirements - Must be able to sit for extended periods and work on a computer. Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be necessary.
