Our client is looking to hire an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator. They are a world leading automotive supplier for steel and aluminum components and one of the largest growing companies in Central Ohio!
The EHS Coordinator will mainly be responsible for creating and enforcing safety policies and procedures within the production facilities.
Qualified candidates will need to have at least 3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and enforcing safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment
- Conducting training sessions with employees
- Regular inspections of the facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct investigations and generate reports on the accidents incidents and near-misses and recommend corrective action
- Ensure WNA complies with all local state and federal safety regulations such as OSHA standards
- Evaluate work environment processes and activities to identify potential health and safety risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Prepare and submit necessary compliance documents to regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in EHS
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certifications preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
- ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management systems experience a plus
