Job Description

Rocky Bay is a disability service provider empowering thousands of Western Australians of all ages living with a disability to enjoy greater choice and independence.

We are looking for experiencedSupport Workers to join our Relief Pool providing coverage in both Supported Accommodation and Community Access. In this role you will support customers with various disabilities and challenging behaviours.

Our focus is on creating opportunities embracing diversity and promoting inclusion all while cultivating a workplace that celebrates and values each of our staff.

The role will require you to:

  • Provide respectful personal care and support with day-to-day living activities
  • Engage customers in activities and outings to promote social inclusion in a 1:1 community setting

  • Maintain detailed records and documents to ensure the highest standards of care

  • Promote independence choice and active support for our customers

  • Work flexibly as there may be some weekend and public holiday and end of year requirements to work.

What you will need:

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker (disability aged care and/or high care needs would be highly regarded)
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with the individuals in your care and their families
  • A compassionate and patient approach with a genuine commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives
  • The ability to meet our strict compliance requirements which will be required on application and to be evidenced if your application is successful including Australian working rights valid drivers licence NDIS worker screening check First Aid Certificate flu vaccination just to name a few.
