Title: Detention Duty Supervisor (BHS)
FUNCTION: To supervise students in after school detention one day per week.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to provide an environment suitable for after school detention.
- Ability to manage student behaviors in after school setting.
- Assume total responsibility for the accuracy of all attendance records during this period.
- Assume total responsibility for monitoring students while in or out of the detention hall during the assigned block of time.
- Assume responsibility for related duties that may be assigned by the building principal.
- Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in classroom management.
- Knowledge of discipline requirements.
- Preferably a member of the High School teaching staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dedication to the service of youth.
- Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with staff and students.
