Job Opening: Temporary Accounting Technician
Location: Gainesville TX
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Duration: 4 to 6 weeks (Temporary only not temp-to-hire)
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Technician for a short-term assignment in the Finance Department. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who is comfortable with data entry spreadsheets and clerical support tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter accounting data accurately into systems and spreadsheets
Review and verify financial data
Assist with reconciliations as needed
Support filing and general clerical work in the Finance Department
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Basic accounting principles including debits and credits
Understanding of fund accounting and line-item budgeting
Familiarity with assets and depreciation
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Proficiency with Excel and other spreadsheet tools
Requirements:
Ability to commit to the full 46 week temporary assignment
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Prior accounting experience preferred
