Job Description
What youll do
This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Support Worker. For this role you must have experience in looking after clients with peg feed. We care for and support people of all ages in the community and their homes with Spinal Cord injury Muscular dystrophy acquired brain injuries and many other complex needs. Every day will be different. And youll never know what challenges youre about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though is that youll be making your clients days brighter whilst developing your skills and knowledge.
The client is a young adult who has sustained a spinal injury and due to this the client would require several complex needs that need to be met such as:
- Catheter Care
- Bowel Management
- Moving & Handling.
You will also be required to assist our registered general nurses on shift in the following where needed:
- Tracheostomy Care
- Invasive Ventilation
- Deep Suctioning
- Cough Assist.
Qualifications :
What youll need
Experience in complex care would be extremely advantageous especially in the following:
- Catheter care.
- Bowel Management.
- Moving & Handling Equipment.
