Robotics System Test Engineer II Robotics System Test Engineer II (Vecna Robotics LLC; Waltham MA): Vecna Robotics is seeking a Robotics System Test Engineer II. This role will develop and execute test strategies plans and programs to validate our robotics systems in both physical and simulated environments. The Test Engineer II will help validate the design and integration of our systems to prepare for successful deployment. This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability performance and safety of our robotic systems using advanced testing methodologies and industry standard requirements. Specific duties include: Develop and perform functional and performance tests based on defined acceptance criteria utilizing physical automated and simulated methods for efficient validation. Identify system deficiencies and document root cause findings to guide engineering improvements. Collaborate with engineering teams to design implement and execute new test work cells and programs. Evaluate hardware and software components and subsystems for system-level integration and readiness. Summarize test setups data analysis and results in concise reports. May lead the design and development of new testing requirements strategies and plans. Validate and maintain safety system requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in planning developing and conducting validation activities. Stay updated with emerging technologies and explore new testing frameworks. Telecommuting permitted within commuting distance from Waltham MA. 3 days of in-office work/week required. Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Robotics Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in a robotics engineering role. Must have: Demonstrated experience in hardware/software/firmware design or validating of robotic systems. Proven ability with Linux command line and ROS (Robot Operating System). Basic skills in mechanical design electronics and coding. Strong analytical organizational documentation and communication skills with the ability to effectively summarize and present complex test data and status updates.
