The Job Mission
This is a key leadership role in the heart of the Hinkley Point C project.
Youll join a site-based delivery team integrated into the Site Construction Directorate.
This role ensures aligned construction delivery across nuclear island units.
Lead construction activities in assigned areas (e.g. HR/HK HL HQ etc.)
Represent construction as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team reporting to a Senior PM
Coordinate safety logistics planning and performance across active site zones
Ensure alignment with regulatory and procedural requirements for a Principal Contractor
Line manage Construction Delivery Managers supporting growth and competency
Conduct site safety and assurance inspections using HPC safety frameworks
Chair and participate in PLOWs and weekly planning meetings
Support recovery and integration planning across construction interfaces
Qualifications :
Essential Skills
Significant experience delivering complex infrastructure or nuclear programmes
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and large-scale delivery models
Ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments
Experience with Principal Contractor roles and CDM Regulations
NEBOSH IOSH or SMSTS certified
Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering Construction or related discipline
Skilled in stakeholder engagement reporting and team leadership
Eligible to work in the UK and meet security clearance requirements
Desired Skills
Background in major UK infrastructure programmes (e.g. HPC Sellafield)
Understanding of nuclear-specific safety and quality frameworks
Knowledge of HPC delivery methodologies (INSIGHT PLOWs etc.)
Ability to influence construction sequencing and recovery plans
Working knowledge of multi-contract integration in a Tier 1 environment
