Job Description
Curriculum Development:Contribute to developing and implementing the art curriculum aligning with state and district guidelines. Classroom Management:Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and fosters a love of art. Assessment:Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to support their development as artists. Collaboration:Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to integrate art into other subject areas and support school-wide initiatives. Supplies and Resources:Manage art supplies including purchasing organizing and maintaining them. Professional Development:Stay current on best practices in art education by participating in professional development activities. Parent Communication:Communicate with parents about student progress and art projects. Special Education:Possess knowledge and sensitivity to effectively include students with special needs. Safety:Ensure a safe and organized art classroom environment. Essential Skills:Art Education Expertise: Thorough knowledge of art history art techniques and art education principles. Teaching Skills: Excellent classroom management communication and instructional skills. Curriculum Development: Ability to develop and implement curriculum aligned with state and district standards. Technology Skills: Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and student learning. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other teachers parents and administrators. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for communicating with students parents and colleagues. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage art supplies materials and classroom resources. Patience and Flexibility: Ability to work with diverse learners and adapt instruction as needed. Passion for Art: A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for art education.
