As a Medical Records Assistant you willprepare and maintain medical records and documents at SCI Phoenix. You will maintain electronic paper and film medical records as well as upload merge and extract information using the Electronic Health Record system. You will also verify accuracy and return incomplete records to health care staff. This role requires the ability to regularly detect and resolve routine problems and issues while ensuring medical reports and documented entries comply with policies procedures and common practices. In addition you will prepare and transfer records for inmates paroling or being transferred archive hardcopy and electronic files verify medical coding and prepare periodic statistical reports.
