The Department of Psychology at Marshall University seeks applicants for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in the departments APA -accredited Clinical Psychology doctoral program (Psy.D.). The Marshall University Psy.D. program has competitive admissions close-knit cohorts 100% practicum placement rates and talented faculty dedicated to student and client success. We are seeking those who wish to join our team of diverse and collegial faculty who are student-focused and committed to quality mental health care education and scholarship. Start date January 2026 but earlier start is negotiable for strong applicants. The Department of Psychology is also home to a robust undergraduate program (BA/BS) and a general masters program. The Department is also preparing to launch an undergraduate degree program that can be completed completely online. While primary responsibilities will be in clinical teaching and supervision there will be an expectation to contribute to coverage in the undergraduate BA/BS program as well as the general masters program. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses developing a program of research; supervising undergraduate and graduate student research; developing applied undergraduate learning opportunities such as practicum experiences; participating in University service activities. In addition the faculty at Marshall University also teach interdisciplinary courses such as the First-Year Seminar which is designed to enhance students critical thinking. There are opportunities to move into programmatic leadership and coordination positions in the future including an opportunity to develop and direct off-campus training placements.
