About the NC Dept. of Public Safety (DPS):
The mission of DPS is to safeguard and preserve the lives and property of the people of North Carolina through prevention protection and preparation with integrity and honor. Included in this department are Alcohol Law Enforcement Criminal Justice Information Network Emergency Management Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention NC National Guard NC Office of Recovery and Resiliency Samarcand Training Academy State Capitol Police and State Highway Patrol. Also included are these Boards and Commissions: ABC Commission Governors Crime Commission Private Protective Services Commission and Boxing & Combat Sports Commission. DPS is comprised of approximately 6000 permanent positions and nearly 13000 NC National Guard temporary positions.

Experience maintaining confidential data files and/or records.
Experience providing customer service and resolving problems and/or questions with the general public and internal staff members.
Experience with general office administrative procedures.
Experience with entering data into a database and using Microsoft Programs (i.e. Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
