We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Stores Team Leader to join our dynamic team at our Mt Wellington depot. In this pivotal role you will oversee the efficient operation of our warehouse during night shifts ensuring seamless product handling inventory management and team coordination.
- Lead and motivate a team of store associates during night shift operations
- Lead efficient and safe container unloading.
- Competent in scanning and WMS accuracy.
- Lead timely put away of pallets from containers into frozen/chilled and ambient chambers.
- Lead Inghams cross dock picking. Timely and accurately.
- Lead from the front in health and safety. Safety first attitude.
- Ensure all products are handled according to customer specifications and company standards
- Manage inventory accuracy and maintain proper load documentation
- Allocate daily work tasks and oversee their completion
- Train team members on various tasks and equipment operation
- Verify that all team members possess the necessary licenses for assigned equipment
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize warehouse operations
- Implement and maintain safety protocols during night shift activities
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the shift
- Prepare and submit accurate shift reports to management
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a stores or warehouse environment
- Proven leadership experience preferably in a night shift setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work night shifts Sunday to Thursday inclusive. Any 5 shifts from 6. 6:00PM to 2:30AM.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse setting
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Valid forklift certification (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree in logistics or related field is a plus
