Serving others when disasters affect customers properties is not easy. Everyone within Paul Davis needs to have a world-class work ethic serious attention to detail and must love to help people. It is challenging to quickly build trust with a client when performing emergency services in a home after disaster strikes. The Lead Restoration Technician will run the onsite emergency services activity. They are our first onsite point of contact with the homeowner or property manager and play a critical role in the overall success and experience for ES projects. A well-balanced organized and experienced individual who communicates well will fit this role best. Experience is a must!
Job Summary:
We are looking to add an experienced Crew Chief (Lead Technician) to our rapidly growing Shrewsbury MA based emergency restoration company. The qualified candidate will have industry experience be capable of managing work crews on job sites. Reconstruction knowledge is helpful but not required. Starting pay is above industry standards. Typical work shifts are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; however overtime may be required to meet project deadlines and to properly serve emergency events which occur on a 24/7 basis. Crew Chiefs are part of an on-call rotation with schedules being posted quarterly (There is flexibility with the rotation.) Tools OSHA and IICRC training are provided by the company.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Demonstrated experience supervising crews (up to 10 people) on residential commercial and Industrial losses.
- Eligible to operate a motor vehicle.
- Carry current IICRC WRT ASD and AMRT designation.
- Must demonstrate proper use of appropriate meters and IR camera understanding of affected vs unaffected building materials and contents.
- Demonstrate ability to draw a sketch read floor plan complete a Moisture Content Log complete a Psychometric Log and determine drying goals.
- Ability to use mobile devices for collection of data and time.
- Demonstrate an understanding of air mover calculation and dehumidification charts.
- Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
- Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
- Possess a sense of urgency professional demeanor positive attitude strong work ethic and morals.
- English language literacy and fluency a must. Bilingual ability is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
- Access and mobility in tight spaces.
- Sustained periods of standing sitting walking bending and kneeling.
- Ability to work long hours when needed.
