Director of Industrial Technology:
Provides leadership and assists in managing Grayson Colleges Industrial Technology program operations the guidance of the Colleges Academic and Workforce Dean. The ideal candidate will lead in the development and improvement of the industrial technology programs; possess demonstrated leadership abilities to effectively oversee multiple departments and guide a diverse faculty team; possess a strong growth mindset who can envision and implement strategies to expand our programs while ensuring student success; will work collaboratively with faculty staff and administration to advance Grayson Colleges Mission of Student Success.
The salary range for this position is $77740.06-$116610.08 per year.

Responsibilities:
- 25% Assists with overall Industrial Technology department(s) management to include but not limited to grant supervision (such as Perkins) and assistance in the hiring supervising and evaluating of faculty and staff as assigned; Maintain safety standards that conform to state federal and insurance regulations and develop a program of preventive safety for CTE related equipment CTE labs; Assists the Associate / Dean of Academic & Workforce Instruction in developing evaluating and communicating goals and objectives for the department as they correlate to the goals of the division and the College;
- 25% Coordinates instructional programming and curriculum; Encourage and support the development of innovative instructional programs helping teachers to pilot such efforts when appropriate; Coordinate the planning and conducting of periodic needs assessments related to course selection offering for CTE programs; Assists the Associate / Dean of Academic & Workforce Instruction in college-wide planning process and submits any required documentation as specified by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (SPOL);
- 20% Work and participate with community groups business leaders and industry to create maintain and sustain partnerships to support CTE programs and to meet the needs of community stakeholders; Responds to trends and opportunities in the local service area in relation to course offerings and the design of new curricula offerings;
- 15% Provides leadership in developing flexible program and course delivery options; Ensure that student progress is evaluated on a regular systematic basis and the findings including student achievement data and district assessments are used to make the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs more effective;
- 10% Assists in the division-level planning budget development and budget management; Monitor labor market data impacting CTE program; Maintain a current inventory of supplies and equipment and recommend disposal and replacement of equipment as necessary.
- 5% Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

- Experience: Five years to ten years of similar or related experience. Successful teaching and administrative experiences in a community college technical school university or corporate technical education programs; The successful candidate will bring significant experience in curriculum development and pedagogical innovation with a proven track record of implementing effective teaching and learning strategies in STEM-CTE fields.
- Education: A Bachelors degree. Masters preferred. .
- Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
