General Position Description: Oversight and supervision of Clinical Team while maintaining a current caseload.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees day to day operations to include provision of clinical services. Provides clinical oversight of all staff to include individual and group supervision.
  • Oversees and processes incoming referrals including a comprehensive review of presenting concerns and coordinates an intake with clinical team.
  • Assists with marketing efforts to ensure a consistent stream of referrals.
  • Assesses the members behavioral health needs to develop therapy treatment goals and recommendations for follow-up support and services.
  • Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselors and Licensed Independent Substance Use Counselors will provide assessment and therapy related to substance use treatment and recovery (A.A.C R4-6-705).
  • Provides effective crisis assessment and intervention including arranging for emergency psychiatric evaluation/hospitalization as indicated.
  • Administers screeners and standardized testing based on clinical need.
  • Schedules therapy sessions with members and obtains required consents for treatment and licensure.
  • Completes progress notes and other required documentation using the appropriate covered service billing codes and writes comprehensive and timely reports as required by funding source and/or system partners.
  • Reviews documents for quality and contract compliance. Signs off on documents as the Behavioral Health Professional.
  • Meets productivity requirements for Clinical lead.
  • Communicates team concerns to program supervisors and directors and maintains strict confidentiality of client and staff information. Provides availability to team members for problem-solving for unforeseen issues that may arise.
  • Provide a broad range of administrative and supervisory functions. Supervises assigned staff in accordance with EBF personnel practices including recruitment training performance evaluations and day to day scheduling. Participates in the process of ongoing professional development. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts within the agency members and external agencies. Models professional standards and ethics in accordance with EBF Code of Conduct Strategic Plan Mission and Vision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Independently licensed (LIAC LCSW LPC or LMFT through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE)) or Associate level license (LIAC LCSW LPC or LMFT through the AZBBHE) but must be able to apply for independent licensure within 6 months through AZBBHE. Must be able to obtain clinical supervisor designation by the AZBBHE. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.


Regulatory

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Current unrestricted AZ drivers license with no more than two (2) minor moving violations or one (1) accident within the past three (3 years). Three (3) years of driving experience required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (employer provides).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (Employer provides).
  • Satisfactorily Completed Competency Checklist within 6 months of hire.

Must be self-directed and be sensitive to cultural and linguistic diversity. Excellent customer service in stressful situations. Maintains a professional in appearance communications and actions. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Must have a strong clinical knowledge. Extensive knowledge of managed care systems AHCCCS/Title XIX medical assistance screening and ADHS policies and practices. Able to establish and maintain a team atmosphere of communication and collaboration for all that reach out to the Department. Must be self-directed and be sensitive to cultural and linguistic diversity. Must be able to utilize DSM-5-TR to provide diagnoses for older children adolescents and adults. Must be able to manage high volumes and unpredictability of work. Must be able to remain flexible and reprioritize according to the changing demands of the day. Able to establish and maintain a team atmosphere of communication and collaboration for all that reach out to the Department. Excellent customer service in stressful situations. Maintains a professional appearance communications and actions. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Possess a high level of computer proficiency.


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation): Normal office environment with multiple interruptions in person and through computer and phone. Interacts with employees and members of the public on a daily basis. May lift normal office equipment and materials up to 25lbs. Visual acuity to read information from computer screens forms and to assess the wellbeing of members. Able to speak clearly in conversations general communications and to communicate verbally with members and emergency personnel as needed for daily operations. Hearing ability for communication in persona phone and/or other electronic methods. Manual dexterity for typing and writing. Able to stoop squat reach pull push stretch ascend and descend stairs stand and sit for long periods of time. May be required to work additional hours or days depending on circumstances.
