Join us as the Technical Head - for the Division of Taste and Wellbeing based in Mumbai India where youll be a strategic leader and customer partner driving the success of cross-functional technical teams. In this role youll foster collaborative relationships with customers and ensure the seamless integration of people processes and partnerships. Your focus on innovation and excellence will deliver customer-centric solutions that create significant value. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a people-first environment and possesses deep expertise in engaging stakeholders to accelerate R&D impact and drive business growth.

You will be reporting to the Commercial Director South Asia for the Taste & Wellbeing Division.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Lead inspire and manage a multidisciplinary team cultivating a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Drive performance management and career development initiatives to unlock the technical teams full potential while championing diversity equity and inclusion to enhance creativity.
  • Promote knowledge-sharing and cross-functional alignment to foster a connected and agile TWIC function.
  • Engage directly with customers and serve as the primary technical contact developing deep strategic partnerships with customers.
  • Lead technical discussions product presentations and innovation sessions positioning the company as a trusted partner.
  • Oversee technical project execution ensuring delivery and alignment with customer expectations and business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Marketing Sales Creation Sensory Regulatory) to ensure customer requirements are effectively integrated into technical solutions.
  • Focus on strengthening the growth engine - Pipeline PNWR ANWR.
  • Support the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies and best practices within the technical team.
  • Act as a local champion for new technologies driving adoption and integration across customer projects.
  • Provide strategic technical input to internal stakeholders and ensure the team remains ahead of industry trends.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation and efficient project delivery.
  • Ensure all TWIC activities comply with applicable regulations quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Define and track performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate team impact customer satisfaction and contribution to the business.

About you:

Your professional profile:

  • Bachelors Degree in Food Science Chemistry or a related field.
  • Alternatively an M.S. or Ph.D. in Food Science Chemistry or related area.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in food applications labs Flavourist labs production or related areas in a customer facing role.
  • Proven success in project management with a track record of building cross-functional relationships across departments and customer engagement and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise mentor and guide technical teams developing their knowledge and technical skills.
  • You are experienced in aligning resources and executing technical objectives effectively.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels both internal and external.
