Location: Dallas Texas (Very strong remote Comsense candidates will also be considered.)
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Division 8 Detailer to join our team in Dallas Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Division 8 detailing with expertise in doors frames and hardware solutions for commercial construction. Proficiency in Comsense is preferred along with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed shop drawings for doors frames and hardware ensuring they align with project specifications and standards
Review architectural drawings specifications and other contract documents to develop accurate and complete detailing of Division 8 products
Coordinate with clients architects contractors and suppliers to clarify project requirements and resolve any issues or discrepancies
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules ensuring timely completion of all detailing tasks
Review submittals track product orders and manage the procurement of materials as needed
Ensure compliance with industry codes standards and regulations in all detailing work
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure proper coordination of all project components and resolve technical issues as they arise
Maintain accurate documentation of all drawings revisions and correspondence related to each project
Provide support during installation assisting with any required modifications to ensure correct placement and functionality
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in construction management architectural drafting or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Division 8 detailing with a focus on doors frames and hardware
Proficiency in Comsense or similar project management software
Strong knowledge of construction drawings building codes and industry standards
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
High attention to detail and accuracy in drawing and documentation
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
