Provides technical assistance to staff management the public and other governmental entities. Takes and processes routine program requests from customers. Supervises employees as needed.
Job duties:
35% Collects records and organizes observational data according to a developed and trained methods in a variety of surgeries including robotic and cardiac surgery
15% Assists in data analysis and the preparation of publications and research grants under the direction of the Chair of Human Factors.
10% Conducts user trials task analyses interviews stakeholder interactions and direct observation of clinical work
10% Keeps accurate and detailed records of experiments and results and identifies and troubleshoots unexpected results
15% Advocates and demonstrates the value of human factors considerations on multi-disciplinary teams of designers engineers clinicians administrators academics architects IT developers and other stakeholders Advocates for and applies human factors considerations to root cause analysis and quality improvement projects
10% Works with a broad range of collaborators to deliver research in the area of human factors patient safety and quality improvement in healthcare. orks with clinicians performance improvement or safety specialists in the design of new complex or unusual protocols and applies techniques to improve human performance and efficiency in surgery and other acute care situations
5% Observes and complies with safety standards and procedures

Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and three years of relevant program experience. A bachelors degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
