    Schedule/hours:Varies
    Rate: $20/hour (positions are not benefit eligible)

    Students must have taken an Education Pathway course (Intro to Education Technology Education Culturally Responsive Classrooms) or are interested in the Education pathway.

    Performs manual work assisting with unboxing new devices technical work in using online databases and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the close supervision of the supervising Technology Support specialists.

    Qualification Requirements

    To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.     Essential Functions
    Unboxing and disposing of packaging.
    Empties trash and recycling receptacles; removes trash and recycling from building.
    Enrolling devices in online Chrome Management system.
    Documenting devices in online Inventory system.
    Disassemble Chromebooks and remove faulty/broken parts.
    Insert/attach replacement Chromebook parts and reassemble device.
    Assist the Technology Support supervisors with technology-related tasks as needed.
    Attends work regularly and on time.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities
    General knowledge of using computers and computer systems materials and equipment; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions; ability to read and understand basic English; ability to work in a fairly independent environment; ability to work with a varied group of people coming from different backgrounds; ability to be thorough and clean when working; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates students and other community members.

    Education and Experience
    Less than High School diploma or GED.

    Physical Requirements
    This work requires the regular exertion of up to 10 pounds of force frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing walking speaking or hearing using hands to finger handle or feel pushing or pulling lifting and repetitive motions frequently requires stooping kneeling crouching or crawling and reaching with hands and arms and occasionally requires sitting and climbing or balancing; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office light traffic).
