Job Description

Job Title:Director IT Infrastructure

Vice President IT Operations

Scope:

The RE/MAX LLC IT Operations Department seeks a highly motivated and experienced Director of IT Infrastructure to lead its IT infrastructure strategy development and role will require you to maintain establish and promote excellent working relationships between your team customers and management. The role ensures robust and scalable systems and networks that support the companys goals. Reporting to theVice President of IT Operations this leader will oversee a team of engineers and administrators driving the implementation of modern infrastructure solutions across hybrid cloud data center and enterprise environments.

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Develop and execute an infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Lead a geographically distributed team of engineers and administrators.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware software and services.

Infrastructure Operations & Availability

  • Ensure 24/7 availability of infrastructure systems including on-call rotations and incident response.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex issues beyond Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
  • Drive timely resolution of incidents and root cause analysis for recurring problems.
  • Collaborate with support leadership to enhance escalation workflows and knowledge sharing.

Cloud & Virtualization Management

  • Manage hybrid identity environments integrating Microsoft Entra ID and on-prem Active Directory.
  • Administer VMware infrastructure including vSphere and vCenter.

Network & Core Infrastructure Services

  • Design and maintain secure high-performance networks using Cisco and Palo Alto technologies.
  • Oversee core services such as DNS DHCP certificate services and IAM.
  • Ensure network resilience redundancy and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to enforce security policies and incident protocols.

Data Center & Multi-Site Operations

  • Oversee data center operations including uptime capacity planning and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure consistent infrastructure support across multiple locations.
  • Lead implementation of high-availability and redundant systems for business continuity.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Oversee backup systems to ensure data integrity and rapid recovery.
  • Conduct regular testing and audits of DR procedures.

Team Development & Performance Management

  • Manage hiring onboarding coaching and mentoring of infrastructure staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews set goals and support professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective workload distribution and succession planning.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Define KPIs aligned with operational and business objectives.
  • Monitor infrastructure and team performance metrics.
  • Report insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Automate KPI tracking and continuously refine metrics for relevance.

Budgeting & Compliance

  • Manage infrastructure budgets including capital and operational expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards data privacy laws and internal policies.

Collaboration & Productivity Tools

  • Administer Microsoft 365 tools including Exchange Online SharePoint Teams and OneDrive.
  • Support enterprise collaboration and communication platforms to enhance productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 10 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience with 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing hybrid identity environments with Microsoft Entra ID AWS/Azure cloud platforms and VMware.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking Palo Alto firewalls and enterprise security best practices.
  • Experience managing multi-site infrastructure data center operations and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proficiency with DNS DHCP IAM Aruba certificate services and the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Excellent communication leadership and project management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)

Hire Range/Rate:

$130000 - $154000

Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level experience industry specific knowledge education/certifications or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
