Job Description

Requires current license as social worker (i.e. LSW) as issued by State of Ohio Counselor Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board in accordance with ORC 4757.28. Pursuant to ORC 4757.41 (A)(5) any person engaging in social work or professional counseling as a civil service employee as defined in section 124.01 of the Revised Code who has at least two years of service as of July 10 2014 is exempt from current licensure as social worker (i.e. LSW) requirement.

What youll do at OhioMHAS:

  • Act as Liaison between the Court/Jail
  • Establish and maintain relationships with other facilities agencies & support services
  • Establish implement and direct social services programs
  • Develop and design treatment intervention techniques and procedures
  • Evaluate patients progress make recommendations and conduct follow-ups
  • Complete documentation requirements
  • Maintain confidential records
  • Attend and participate in meetings & trainings

This is anhourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union) with a pay range of10 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours areMonday - Friday8:00 am - 4:30 pm.This position is located within ourHEARTLAND BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE campusat3000 Erie Street South Massillon OH 44646.

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code the selected candidate will begin atStep 1of the pay range schedule listed above with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
