National Grid is hiring Project Supervisors for our Infrastructure Development department in Oxfordshire.
What youll do
Essentially youll ensure all site-based construction activities delivered by our principal contractors are efficiently managed in accordance with National Grid polices and procedures. Youll utilise the duties of Client Representative with a keen eye on safety and the quality of the installation.
Assigning local projects and minimising travel is always a priority for us to find a better work/life balance but travel across the region to our live construction projects will be required. This is a predominantly site-based role and our regions are quite large but we will provide you with a company vehicle paid travel and on top of this plenty of opportunity to grow your career at National Grid.
About you
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification or equivalent site management/supervision qualification
- A proven track record in electricity (or comparable) with site management or site supervision experience
- Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) experience would be preferrable
- Can demonstrate a good understanding of CDM regulations
- Background in Civils
- Experience of quality management systems as supervisor under NEC
- An awareness of Project Contract and Stakeholder management and client representative experience
- Full UK driving license is essential
