This position is open to Alaska Residents only.

What You Will Be Doing:
Under the general direction of the Area Forester this position performs new construction routine preventative maintenance and repairs of buildings/components and grounds at the Tok Area Office Valdez-Copper Area Office and at the Tanacross Tanker Base Facility.
This position is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Tanacross Tanker Base including managing and maintaining the fire-retardant equipment and fluid maintaining aircraft landing and loading logs and overseeing the work and training of emergency-hired staff.
Responsible for vehicle and equipment maintenance and management which includes but is not limited to assisting in coordinating and scheduling routine maintenance on vehicles. Diagnose and repair small engines motors pumps all-terrain vehicles snow machines and miscellaneous fire equipment.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position exercises a high degree of independence in all aspects of building maintenance and repairs.
This position supervises at least 3 to 5 EFF at the Tok Area Tanker Base on an average daily basis during the fire season.

Supplemental Questions
