Job Summary

If you are a fresh graduate or order management professional Emerson has an exciting role for you!

The Change Order Coordinator position is based in FCEC Chennai India and handle change order request entered by Middle East & Africa Sales & Emerson LBP teams. This role needs good communication and action-oriented individual who will work with different internal stakeholders to process the change order request. Additionally perform detailing and generate Bill of Materials (BOM).

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Review incoming change order and attend based on priority.
  • Working closely with factory personnel on quoted requests and update LBP/Sales office regarding the charges imposed.
  • Update ERP system on commercial changes and ensure all related parties been informed.
  • Liaise closely with OE LBP/Sales office and Project Manager on project/construction-based change request.
  • Guide LBP/Sales Office/Interco on delivery/cost impacts whenever needed.
  • Update and extract information from Change Order Tracking database.
  • Closely work with OE on project-based Change request to minimize the errors & multiple change order lines entered for a single trade/sales order.
  • Log errors from Sales and LBP and consolidate in month/period reports to minimize the errors Sales and LBP prone to make in the future.
  • Follow up with Order Administration & Order Engineering team whenever needed to reduce the backlog.
  • Additionally Perform Detailing activities necessary to communicate an accurate Bill of materials to Manufacturing
  • Review the Sales/LBP orders for completeness of technical requirements for MEA sourced Project and MRO orders. Feedback to Sales/LBPs in case of any technical discrepancies.
  • Monitor the progress of orders and escalate issues to ensure timely release of items to manufacturing.

For This Role You Will Need:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the vital skills to effectively apply technology and systems specific to the work.
  • Knowledge in SAP Oracle Business system or any other ERP system
  • Basic abilities to understand commercial data and terms.
  • Able to understand the technical details of products and processes.
  • Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Degree in Mechanical Metallurgy Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering with 1-2 Years of experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
