Job Description

Summary

The Center for Environment Climate and Health at National Jewish Health is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator for the Healthy Homes Project a study aimed at improving indoor air quality and respiratory health in Denver families. In partnership with Energy Outreach Colorado and the Denver Healthy Homes Program this role supports a research study evaluating how home renovations air purifiers and education impact family health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit participants for the study consent completion and collaboration with project team members
  • Coordinate and conduct three in-home visits with participating families in the Denver area
  • Operate and place small air monitoring devices to measure indoor and outdoor air quality
  • Administer health and housing questionnaires and collect medical data such as blood pressure blood specimens and spirometry
  • Communicate effectively with participating households and community partners
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality and protocol compliance throughout the study

Position Summary

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will work with a preceptor to learn the regulations guidelines and institutional policies that govern the proper conduct of research at National Jewish Health and learn to manage the operational aspects of clinical research.


Essential Duties

  1. Learns and applies Clinical Research Guidelines including Good Clinical Practice HIPAA regulations CRS Standard Operating Procedures applicable NJH Policies and Procedures and FDA NIH OHRP ICH guidelines as applicable.
  2. Masters all study materials including but not limited to protocols informed consent forms and all other essential study documents for assigned studies.
  3. Learns and performs study-related processes procedures and assessments as defined in study protocol and in compliance with regulating bodies and NJH competency requirements.
  4. Complies with regulatory bodies to create and maintain study records and if applicable dispensation and accountability of investigational product.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education:Bachelors degree required
  2. Work Experience:Clinical research or clinical experience preferred
  3. Special Training Certification or Licensure:BLS required within one month of training required within one month of hire.

Salary Range:$21.50 - $25.50
