Job Description
The REMM Group is currently seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and support our beautiful community located in La Mesa CA.
The Apartment Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and the overall condition and repair of the asset. This position includes managing the day-to-day operations of a property from repairs make-ready processes Capital projects and preventative maintenance. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ensures completion of all apartment turnover. May assist with minor construction projects and renovations.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly and professionally diagnosing and resolving issues related to plumbing electrical HVAC appliances and general repairs and document repairs made in Yardi Voyager software.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to identify and address potential problems before they occur.
- Maintain the Cleanliness and Curb appeal of the property adhering to all safety protocols.
- Responsible for routine maintenance and emergency problems.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed to obtain necessary parts and materials.
- Communicate with excellent customer service and maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with residents and staff.
- Strategically plan how to turn units with your team.
- Keeps storage facilities and equipment organized and in working condition.
- Inventory management
- Coordinate with vendors at the property to ensure the job is to REMM standards
- Communicate with the Business Manager to ensure work is complete and costs are in line with the budget
- Ability to take after-hours emergency calls
- Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal at the property
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 4 years of apartment maintenance experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
- High school diploma and some college/trade school preferred.
- Experience and technical skills with apartments/multi-family housing are needed.
- High sense of urgency while maintaining high-quality standards.
- HVAC Appliance Repair Plumbing Electrical Cleaning Drywall and Painting preferred.
- Great communication skills.
- Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate an on-call schedule.
