Job Description

ATS Scientific Productsis expanding our team in Vineland NJ and have immediate openings for aMachine Operator - Grinder on 1st Shift. Hours are Monday thru Friday 7am to 330pm

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ability to perform various operations on wet cut saw and beveling equipment
  • Use applicable measuring instruments to assure specifications
  • Advise supervision of any out of standard condition that occurs
  • Advise supervision when repairs or supplies are required
  • Select appropriate fixtures for cutting
  • Ability to complete required paperwork
  • Must observe all safety precautions rules and regulations

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Mathematical skills
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to speak read and write in English
  • Basic practical knowledge of manufacturing practices and cost estimating of machinery are required as part of the function of this position and can be learned on the job
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form

HSE

All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.

Employee responsibilities for Health Safety and Environment include:

  • Work in compliance with divisional health safety and environmental procedures
  • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
  • Report defect in any equipment or protective device
  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
  • Attend all required health safety and environmental training
  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
  • Refrain from engaging in any prank contest feat of strength unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
