Outbound Manager

The Outbound Manager oversees all outbound operations including shipping distribution and customer service. This position involves managing teams optimizing processes and meeting operational goals in a warehouse or distribution center.

What Youll Do:

  • Oversee picking packing shipping and delivery processes.
  • Manage and develop a motivated outbound staff team.
  • Implement improvements in outbound processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure quality standards for order fulfillment timely shipping and proper handling of goods.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Track KPIs related to outbound operations such as fulfillment rates and shipping times.
  • Collaborate with other departments for efficient operations.
  • Manage the outbound budget effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
  • Initiate continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs and enhance operations.

What Youll Bring:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in warehouse or distribution operations focusing on outbound processes.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and pull heavy objects (50 lbs).
  • Capability to operate a forklift.
  • Warehouse environment with a standard 40-hour workweek Monday through Friday; occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
  • Punctual regular and reliable on-site attendance is essential.
