Outbound Manager
The Outbound Manager oversees all outbound operations including shipping distribution and customer service. This position involves managing teams optimizing processes and meeting operational goals in a warehouse or distribution center.
What Youll Do:
- Oversee picking packing shipping and delivery processes.
- Manage and develop a motivated outbound staff team.
- Implement improvements in outbound processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure quality standards for order fulfillment timely shipping and proper handling of goods.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Track KPIs related to outbound operations such as fulfillment rates and shipping times.
- Collaborate with other departments for efficient operations.
- Manage the outbound budget effectively.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Initiate continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs and enhance operations.
What Youll Bring:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in warehouse or distribution operations focusing on outbound processes.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and pull heavy objects (50 lbs).
- Capability to operate a forklift.
- Warehouse environment with a standard 40-hour workweek Monday through Friday; occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
- Punctual regular and reliable on-site attendance is essential.
