Job Description

The Role:

Reporting to the Cullet Plant Supervisor the Cullet Plant General Hand is responsible for maintaining the Plant housekeeping levels to the acceptable standards upkeeping cleaning tools and also performing relief operator tasks when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating plant vacuum system
  • Performing LOTO to clean various plant equipment
  • Use standard cleaning tools to keep plant tidy and clean
  • Maintain cleaning tools and shadow boards
  • Ensure finished product is not contaminated with waste and high quality standards are maintained
  • Perform forklift operations as required
  • Operate street sweeper
  • Drive trucks to move Cullet from Cullet Plant silos to Batch House
  • Attend departmental meetings
  • Follow outlined cleaning routines
  • Assist in identifying plant faults blockages and spills

About You:

Successful applicants will:

  • Hold a current forklift licence
  • Maintain diligent housekeeping standards
  • Demonstrate commitment to a safe work environment
  • Be self motivated and display a high attention to detail
  • Posses the ability to work autonomously and be positive friendly and team oriented
