The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington (PVNC Catholic) Catholic District School Board invites applications for the position of Superintendent of Learning.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Reporting to the Director of Education the successful candidate will be an integral part of the senior leadership team and share responsibility for supporting the Boards Vision: Creating a culture of faith hope and love to ensure equity and well-being. The Superintendent will possess the necessary knowledge skills and attributes to support PVNC Catholics Vision Mission and Strategic Priorities. The candidate will demonstrate exemplary leadership practices and have the necessary cognitive social and psychological resources expressed in the Catholic System-Level Leadership Frameworks. In addition the following are the required qualifications for the position:
- Membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers;
- Successful completion of a Supervisory Officers Certificate OR are currently enrolled in a recognized Supervisory Officer Qualification Program;
- Ability to provide a Catholic Pastoral Reference for Leadership (available on Careers section of Board website);
- 5 years successful leadership experience demonstrated within an educational setting;
- Proven personal leadership resources as outlined in the Ontario Leadership Framework;
- Demonstration of the values and commitments of the PVNC Catholics Multi-Year Strategic Plan;
- Broad understanding and respect of an inclusive approach to relationship building with diverse stakeholders in the community and in schools;
- Deep understanding of youth culture and the principles of youth engagement;
- Proven ability to engage community stakeholders; and
- Ability to affect positive change.
- Faith-Based Leadership : Champion the integration of Catholic teachings into all aspects of school life fostering strong relationships between schools families and parishes.
- Instructional Oversight : Supervise a group of K12 schools ensuring the delivery of high-quality education aligned with the Ontario curriculum and Catholic values. This includes supporting principals guiding curriculum development and promoting student achievement and well-being.
- Strategic Planning : Contribute to the development and execution of the boards Multi-Year Strategic Plan aligning initiatives with Ministry of Education directives and board policies.
- Equity and Inclusion : Implement strategies that promote equity diversity and inclusion creating safe and supportive learning environments for all students and staff.
- Operational Management : Participate in system-level decision-making including budget planning staffing processes and policy development ensuring alignment with the boards mission and goals.
