We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient traveling In-plant Tech to join our team. As a traveling In-plant Tech you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our manufacturing operations ensuring smooth production processes and equipment reliability. You will also assist with startup and coverage situations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues in manufacturing systems
- Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and equipment history
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing environment
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant operations
- Monitor inventory of spare parts and consumables recommending reorders when necessary
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in manufacturing equipment
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications welcomed.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- In-depth knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance techniques and practices
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
- Strong organizational abilities and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as required
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Available for travel 60%-70% of the time.
