Job Description
The City of Pueblo is looking for a qualified candidate to be our Director of Stormwater! As the Director of Stormwater youll oversee all operations of the Stormwater Department including engineering maintenance and administration. Youll be responsible for managing the Stormwater Utility Enterprise for implementing the Citys National Pollution Discharge Elimination System MS4 Permit and for developing the construction operation and maintenance of the Citys stormwater system. Additionally youll supervise Stormwater Department staff and oversee Stormwater billing.

Qualifications :
- A bachelors degree in any engineering or engineering technology program accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)
- Seven (7) years of successful experience demonstrating a progression in responsibilities; complexity of duties; and technical managerial and leadership growth in the practice of stormwater engineering
- Three (3) years of experience supervising other professionals in the practice of stormwater engineering
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado or licensure as a Professional Engineer in another U.S. state or territory with the ability to obtain a Colorado registration through reciprocity within six (6) months from date of appointment
- A valid drivers license at the time of application and a valid Colorado drivers license within 30 days of employment
- License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business such as an interlock will be cause for disqualification
- During the course of employment a valid license must be maintained and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) Certification within six (6) months from date of appointment
- The selected candidate must reside within the corporate boundaries of the County of Pueblo within six (6) months of first date of hire pursuant to Pueblo Municipal Code section 6-4-10 regarding residency requirement
Preferred:
- A masters degree in business administration public administration engineering or engineering technology
