Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BMW Sales Manager to lead our new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a proven track record of driving performance building high-performing teams and delivering outstanding guest satisfaction. This individual will play a key role in achieving departmental profitability and growth while upholding the highest ethical standards and commitment to the BMW brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage monthly and annual sales forecasts gross and operating profit targets and department expense budgets.
- Lead and mentor the sales team including hiring training coaching and conducting performance evaluations.
- Facilitate weekly sales meetings and continuous product and sales training to ensure team growth and knowledge.
- Collaborate with new and used vehicle sales managers to set and achieve departmental objectives.
- Oversee the display merchandising and promotion of new and pre-owned inventory ensuring all marketing initiatives are pre-approved and aligned with brand standards.
- Manage vehicle inventory levels to support sales volume and market demand including ordering and acquisition.
- Work closely with the General Manager to review performance reports and implement short- and long-term strategic plans.
- Handle guest escalations professionally maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction and retention.
- Audit trade-in appraisals to ensure accuracy consistency and profitability.
- Manage demo and AMP (Alternate Mobility Program) vehicles and ensure all associated records are maintained accurately in Dealertrack Service and accounting systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum 35 years of automotive sales management experience BMW or luxury brand experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead a successful sales team with a strong focus on performance and guest experience
- In-depth understanding of dealership operations sales processes and financial metrics
- Strong communication leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with dealership CRM and DMS systems (Dealertrack VinSolutionsVAuto)
- Ability to analyze data manage inventory and make strategic decisions
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
