Our Global Security Operations Center positions help maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring alarm systems coordinating emergency responses and supporting on-site security teams. GSOC Operators are the central hub for communication and incident management ensuring rapid and effective responses to any situation.
Global Security Operations Center Operator
$24.87/hour
As an GSOC Operator you will be responsible for monitoring security systems dispatching personnel and maintaining detailed records of incidents and communications. This role is critical in supporting field officers and ensuring the safety of personnel property and operations at client sites such as Amgen.
Key Responsibilities
- Surveillance & Monitoring: Operate CCTV systems alarm monitoring platforms and life safety systems to detect and respond to security threats.
- Access Control: Utilize software to monitor and manage access to secure areas.
- Emergency Dispatching: Coordinate responses to alarms emergencies and incidents using radio satellite phones and emergency broadcast systems.
- Communication: Maintain professional communication with security staff emergency responders and client personnel. Use active listening and clear documentation practices.
- Incident Reporting: Accurately document all incidents alarms and communications in dispatch logs and reports.
- Training & Development: Participate in a structured 40-hour training program covering alarm systems emergency procedures communication tools and site-specific protocols.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional support to client staff and visitors ensuring a positive and secure environment.
Qualifications
- Excellent observational and de-escalation skills; able to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communicator; capable of working closely with both global and local security teams
- Committed to ethical practices and following all safety protocols always maintaining a safe and respectful approach.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Reliable means of communication and transportation.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
- Ability to effectively speak read and write English.
- High school diploma GED or equivalent.
- 3 years of security experience required or equivalent.
- 2 years of security experience required or equivalent.
- 3 years of customer service experience.
