In this role you will be working as a member of the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) as Data Governance Issue Management Analyst responsible for enabling the efficient and actionable use of data by planning developing and implementing enterprise data controls across systems within the Bank with focus on Risk and Regulatory Reporting and Financial Crimes Compliance under the Data Management Integrated Control Framework (DMICF).
Activities include monitoring of data issues including identification analyzing gaps and escalation of risks. Work with a broad range of teams and roles across the organization including Function Data Officers including Risk and Regulatory Reporting Report Content Owners and Business Unit Risk Managers.
Responsibilities:
Reducing manual processes and driving automation via the identification and resolution of data quality incidents and problems
Understand and apply familiarity with Risk and Regulatory Reporting and Financial Crimes processes and Enterprise Metadata concepts such as Key Data Elements Business Information Model Report Attributes Data Attributes Physical Location etc.
Communicate with Business and System SMEs (including but not limited to Data Officers Business System Owners System Managers Control Owners Report Production or Content Owners etc.) to explain objectives and scope and to conduct assessments and remediation of gaps.
Understand data lineage across complex current state system environments and target state.
Review issues to identify data elements.
Create Data Issues Escalation Reporting for Awareness.
Evaluate compensating controls and tactical workarounds to mitigate issues risk.
Qualifications:
1 years of Business / Data Analysis prior experience working with industry best practices is preferred.
1 years of experience in process improvement prior experience with assessing processes for risks and controls is preferred.
1 years of experience for DQ Incident/Problem/Issue Management.
Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks projects and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of various teams
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills for assessment of complex production support issues and recommend/implement effective solutions
Experience with identifying collecting and reporting metrics and results
Competency with Office 365 SharePoint Visio MS-Project HPQC/JIRA Power BI
Experience in the banking or finance institutions preferred
Data Governance and Controls experience a plus
B.S. in relevant field or equivalent experience
The typical base pay range for this role is between $89K - $98K depending on job-related knowledge skills experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
