Job Description
KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is hiring full-time salaried Floating Guest Educators to join our team. These educators play a vital role in our schools by stepping into classrooms with long-term vacancies or covering for teachers on PTO. Floating Guest Educators take on the responsibilities of a classroom teacher including leading lessons managing classroom expectations and fostering a positive academic environment. They ensure smooth transitions by collaborating with the school team and executing high-quality lesson plans.
While certification is not required for this role it is strongly encouraged that candidates are working towards becoming certified in the future. Floating Guest Educators who become certified may be eligible for promotion to lead teacher positions subject to availability at their school.
Floating Guest Educators will initially be assigned to one campus but flexibility is essential as they may be reassigned to another campus if the vacancy is filled by a certified teacher.

- Starting salary for full-time Floating Guest Educator: $38500

*The salary offered in the DocuSign doesnt include any stipends for which the candidate may be eligible. In our first year of paying out millage stipends non-certified New-to-KIPP staff received an additional $3700. There are other opportunities to earn money at KIPP Jax in the form of additional stipends.

Qualifications :
REQUIREMENTS
- 60 college credits or a completed AA degree
- Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers

HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree
- Clear path to obtaining a Florida Teaching Certificate
- Experience working in an urban public school or charter school setting
