Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive supportive and structured environment under the direction of charge nurse or supervisor.
- Administer prescribed medications to patients according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Prepare and organize medication doses including oral topical and other forms as directed.
- Ensure medications are stored and handled in accordance with safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Document patient interactions and report changes in patient conditions or behaviors by communicating with team. Significant changes are reported to nurse immediately.
- Document timely accurate and appropriate information in patient medical record.
- Identify self to patient and visitors promptly and respond to patient requests quickly.
- Respond to distressed patients in a non-threatening manner and attempt to understand the source of distress.
- Apply de-escalation techniques to help manage patients emotions behavior and participation in treatment.
- Communicate clearly and effectively to patients family members guests and other members of the health care team.
- Adherence to work schedule and overall attendance.
- Follow established policies procedures and standards for patient care.
- Stay informed about changes in medication practices and healthcare regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.
- Collaborate with other staff in working with the population of the facility to treat and rehabilitate.
- Demonstrate a positive empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Compensation for roles at Duffys Rehab varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location role skill set and level of required by local law Duffys Rehab provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California set forth below.
Role Location: Calistoga California
Calculated Hourly Range for role:
California: $24 - $26 per hour
