About Facility:
Small 182 bed community hospital located in Monroe NC
4 ORs offering a variety of surgical care specialties
Radius rule: Travelers permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Department Information:
4 ORs
Average cases/day 10-20
Minimum Years of Experience required 3 years
Will you accept a first-time traveler Depends on experience manager approval
Case Types:
All types; very little peds except ENT ear tubes and dental
Heavy Total Joints Robotic (Urology/GYN/General) Urology General Ortho ENT
Cori Total Joint robot
Davinci XI robot
Required License National Certification Certs (BLS ACLS etc.) or other position specific requirements such as Drivers License and/or Insurance:
Surg Tech:
Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
Certification a plus
BLS
Skills required:
Must be able to independently scrub Total Joints Robotic (Urology/GYN/General) Urology General Ortho ENT Cori Total Joint robot
Support within the Department:
Clinical Supervisor
Nurse Manager
OR Educator
Anesthesia/CRNA team
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
Department specific Equipment: Davinci XI robot Cori robot Olympus Stryker etc.
Floating: If yes where
Possible; to Union West Hospital OR
Orientation (facility and unit):
3 days departmental orientation to include required learning modules and department specific education
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: call only every 5th weekend
On call If so what is that schedule
Call 7p-7a 1 day per week
8-hour weekend call every 5th weekend total of 48 hrs every 5th weekend
Holiday Expectations: call only on holidays; travelers should expect to be on call on holidays within their contract but will be assigned depending on the needs of the department
RTO: Manager Approval
Shift times:
0630-1700 x 3 days per week
1100-1900 w/call 1900-0700 x 1 day per week (next day off)
48 hr weekend call every 5th weekend
Holiday call as needed by the department
Schedule cycle: track schedule every 5 weeks
Other notes:
Scrub Color: may wear personal scrubs of any color or business casual into work but will then change into green hospital scrubs
Parking: Free
