Job Summary:
This Medical Assistant position involves providing clinical and administrative support in a medical setting. The role requires a minimum of two years of experience an Associates Degree or Diploma in Medical Assisting and certification from a nationally recognized organization. The position is full-time Monday-Friday with a mandatory float requirement across facilities. Adult and pediatric experience is required and bilingual skills are preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Performing clinical duties such as taking vital signs assisting with examinations and preparing patients for procedures.
- Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments managing patient records and handling phone calls.
- Assisting with medication administration under the supervision of a physician or nurse.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Floating between facilities as needed to meet staffing demands.
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Associates Degree or Diploma in Medical Assisting.
- Certification from AAMA AMT NHA ARMA NCCT or NRCMA.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Medical Assistant (five years of experience may be substituted for the degree/diploma requirement).
- BLS certification.
- MA Certification.
- Adult and pediatric experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bilingual skills.
Special Considerations:
- Mandatory float to other facilities within the system.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
- 5-day maximum return-to-office (RTO) policy with no consecutive days no RTO on weekends or holidays and no RTO the day before or after a holiday.
- Parking costs apply at the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC). A shuttle is available.
Scheduling:
- Full-time 5 days a week 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday.
