About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Director of Analytics to lead our healthcare analytics function with a specific focus on building insights for our internal and external partners. This role will drive data initiatives lead a team of analysts actuaries and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency reduce costs and enhance patient and provider experiences. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in healthcare claims data industry regulations and analytical methodologies.
What youll do:
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and lead the analytics strategy to support company objectives in care delivery revenue cycle and payer-provider coordination.
- Collaborate with senior leadership across Product Operations Clinical Engineering Customer Success to align analytics initiatives with business priorities.
- Analytics
- Oversee end-to-end analysis of claims data to identify trends inefficiencies and opportunities for cost savings or process improvement.
- Lead initiatives to help improve claims adjudication accuracy reduce denials and enhance payment integrity.
- Understand and build insights based on member data
- Provide AI driven suggestions for better care suggestions
- Data Management & Reporting
- Direct the development of dashboards scorecards and KPIs to monitor performance across the claims lifecycle.
- Ensure data quality consistency and governance for all analytics initiatives.
- Team Development
- Lead mentor and grow a high-performing analytics team with capabilities in data science reporting and business intelligence.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Compliance & Risk
- Ensure all analytics processes adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate data risks particularly in claims and member/provider data.
To be successful in this role youll need:
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics Health Informatics Computer Science Actuarial Science); Masters preferred.
- 10 years of experience in healthcare analytics with 3 years specifically in claims processing analytics.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems payer-provider models and regulatory environments.
- Proficiency in SQL and one or more BI tools (e.g. Looker Tableau Power BI).
- Foundational knowledge of Data Warehousing Data Architecture Data Science and Analytics Master Data Management
- Proficiency of RAG architecture LLMs and Generative AI using tools like Google Vertex OpenAI or others
- Experience working with healthcare data standards (e.g. ICD CPT HCPCS HL7 EDI 837).
Preferred:
- Experience with value-based care analytics or population health.
- Exposure to machine learning models and predictive analytics in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake AWS Azure).

Pay Transparency Statement
This is a hybrid position based out of our San Francisco office with the expectation of being in office at least two weekdays per week. #LI-hybrid
The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location qualifications experience and internal equity.
