Adjunct Faculty Position: Community Development
Opportunity:
The Department of Economics and Community Development at Covenant College an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America and an academically rigorous Christian college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition invites applications to serve as an adjunct professor to teach various courses in the Community Development Program including Living and Working in a Multicultural Context Microfinance and/or additional electives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate courses in the Community Development Program in the context of a Christian perspective
Plan lessons and assignments grade assignments respond to student inquiries submit grades
Support retention efforts through early identification of students who are struggling offering students needed academic support and providing positive encouragement
Qualifications:
Commitment to the mission of Covenant College
Masters Degree or above in a relevant field from an accredited institution
Expertise in the subject area
Field experience preferred
Demonstrated competency in teaching
