Job Description

High Point University is currently seeking an Adjunct Instructor of Choral Choir. This position will serve as the director of choral activities and will be responsible for conducting Chapel Choir (MUS 1320) as well as assisting the choral department in relevant events and activities. This position may also teach additional courses within the department as needed and per the candidates educational strengths.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Masters in Music Education required PhD preferred.

Experience and Training:

5 years teaching/conducting experience

Knowledge Skills Ability:

Excellent choral technician
Excellent recruiter
Adept at working with college-age students
An enabler of learning

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Conduct Chapel Choir as well as assist the choral department in relevant events and activities.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reports to the Director of Choral Activities and Chair of the Department of Music.
