Compensation:
- $17.08 - $18.63 per hour depending on experience
- If bilingual (English/Spanish): $18.63 - $20.42 per hour depending on experience

Education Level:

- Some college level preparation or advanced training preferred
Certification/Licensure:
- None Required
- First Aid/CPR certificate desired
Experience Desired:
- Some experience working with A/V equipment is desired

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administration faculty and staff
REPORTS TO: Library/Media Center Specialist and Building Administrator
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of each employees position includes (1) regular dependable in-person attendance on the job; (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge skills and abilities and to perform the identified work activities; and (3) the ability to perform the physical requirements on their specific job description.
Basic:
Facilitate the implementation of A/V equipment into the educational environment
Frequent:
- Ability to work independently in a somewhat unsupervised setting.
- Ability to interact with teaching staff in a positive manner.
- Schedule the use and repair of A/V equipment.
- Train teachers in the use of A/V equipment when needed.
- Work with the Library/Media Center Specialist in coordinating the activities and programs of the Media Center including establishing a budget for media materials submitting all media requisitions keeping records of expenditures and approving bills for media items purchased.
- Provide assistance to teachers students and administrators in their planning development production and use of A/V materials.
- Work with the Library/Media Center Specialist in preparing specifications for the purchase of equipment and materials and evaluating bids.
- Coordinate procurement of instructional materials and A/V equipment requested by departments.
- Maintain an inventory of all A/V equipment assigned to the school.
- Conduct as needed inservice activities on the production and use of A/V materials and equipment.
- Work with Library/Media Center Specialist to assist departmental groups research committees and curriculum study groups in developing new approaches for instruction resource units and evaluation of materials.
- Establish and supervise a system for scheduling and booking videos from ESU university video libraries and other rental or free loan sources.
- Work with Library/Media Center Specialist in submitting all necessary reports to the administration regarding media services and equipment.
- Work with Library/Media Center Specialist to keep administrators informed of their needs services and plans relating to the media program.
- Communicate with other members of the profession regarding trends and innovations by establishing a liaison with outside agencies and by attending workshops conferences and conventions relating to educational media.
- Supervise and schedule the completion of media production work.
- Serve the school in any other capacity not specifically covered in the job description as directed by the building administrator.
