Job Summary:

In this role you will lead software engineers and be responsible for designing developing and maintaining high-quality scalable and secure applications for our Next-Generation banking products using Java and related technologies such as Gen AI. This role drives collaboration with cross-functional teams to define the business requirements design technical solutions and ensure delivery of overall software systems. This Lead Java Developer works across full development lifecycle including analysis coding testing debugging deployment and ongoing support.

Responsibilities:

  • As IT Lead provide strong leadership and influencing skills to collaborate with all stakeholders and IT partners to promote state-of-art technology solutions and implement end-to-end project deliverables.
  • Collectively review Business Requirements and develop Functional Design and Detailed Design for review and seek sign-off with all stakeholders.
  • Undertake system design and coding to define architecture data models and technical specifications and develop quality code following industry and organizational best practices.
  • Design develop and maintain JAVA/J2EE platform applications sprint boot based microservices integration and message-driven architecture with API MQ Kafka.
  • Integrate third-party vendor solutions and collaborate with vendors to integrate data exchanges and resolve issues.
  • Support application build and deployments CI/CD pipelines and monitor troubleshoot production issues of Kubernetes pods for stability.
  • Participate in DR exercise and provide off-hours or weekend support during critical releases maintenance windows and urgent production incidents.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of complex application design and programming activities in the latest related technologies
  • Strong commitment to application securities including SSL/TLS certificates and manage timelines deliver quality to meet agreed SLAs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate findings clearly and effectively to wide variety of audiences including senior management

Qualifications / Work Experience

  • 5 years of experience with financial industry and preferably in banking environment.
  • 8 years of experience in leading project end-to-end delivery and driving through Agile development cycles or waterfall/SDLC development cycles.
  • 5 years of experience with Cash Management system or Liquidity Management system and thorough understanding of payment initiation processing and reporting processes.
  • 8 years of strong development experience using Tools Java Hibernate Spring Boot React JavaScript Typescript microservices Angular CSS HTML SOAP/REST API Custom flat files csv XML/JSON APIs.
  • Strong knowledge with wire ACH payments check processing and closely worked with banking operations to investigate customer issues and trouble shoot system issues.
  • Experience with Web Applications deployed in WebSphere WebLogic JBoss or Kubernetes in internet facing settings.
  • Strong experience in batch programming using scripts andAutosys Job scheduling testing and processing
  • Strong experience in SQL and Oracle database. Expertise in creating tables stored procedures PL/SQL Sql Agent Jobs and Reporting.
  • Strong background in CI/CD cloud-native architecture.
  • Experience in banking financial service industry. Good understanding of Banking transmission formats (NACHA ISO20022 BAI2) .
  • Extensive experience of on-prem Kubernetes OpenShift infrastructure and major public cloud offerings such as AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of vendor products such as Bottomline Technology Digital Banking platform ACI Worldwide Online Banking Finastra Cash Management platform experience is a plus.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $145K - $182K depending on job-related knowledge skills experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
