JOB- Production Team Leader
LOCATION- Rochdale
TERM- Permanent
SALARY(Dependant on experience)
Premier Engineering is working with a well-established precision engineering company based in Rochdale. They are looking to recruit a Production Team Leader to oversee a high-performance machining cell specialising in CNC Machining Grinding and Toolmaking. This role is ideal for an experienced hands-on leader with a strong background in precision engineering and a drive for continuous improvement.
The Production Team Leader will ideally have the following attributes:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of CNC Machining Surface/Cylindrical Grinding and Toolroom practices
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with quality systems and inspection techniques
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and production efficiency improvements
- Excellent communication team coordination and leadership skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
The Production Team Leader role will involve:
- Managing a skilled team within a precision machining cell
- Ensuring production targets quality standards and deadlines are consistently met
- Supporting staff with technical guidance across CNC grinding and toolmaking operations
- Monitoring workflow machine utilisation and material availability
- Conducting team briefings performance reviews and training support
- Driving a culture of quality safety and efficiency across the cell
- Liaising with other departments including planning engineering and quality assurance
