The Opportunity:

The Director of Development for the College of Medicine is responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to attract major philanthropic support aligned with the colleges vision and UCFs strategic goals. This position plays a key role in cultivating meaningful relationships with individuals alumni and organizations who are passionate about supporting medical education research and innovation.

Reporting to the Executive Director Academic Health Sciences the Director will build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and serve as a critical connector between donors and the impactful work happening at the College of Medicine.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individual and programmatic fundraising strategies to secure major gifts in support of the College of Medicines priorities.

  • Identify cultivate solicit and steward major gift prospects independently with an emphasis on individual donors.

  • Build and manage a portfolio of prospects strategically advancing relationships through face-to-face meetings and tailored solicitations.

  • Develop compelling major gift proposals and recognize donor contributions in alignment with UCFs mission and values.

  • Utilize strategic tools including contact reports prospect research and the Advance CRM database to track and manage donor engagement.

  • Uphold best practices in recordkeeping donor relations and volunteer engagement.

  • When applicable help identify and recruit volunteers board members or committee members who reflect the strengths of the community.

  • Support budget planning and use resources effectively to engage key stakeholders including volunteers faculty prospects and alumni.

  • Perform related duties as required to further the success of the colleges advancement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree and 6 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.Click here for more information

The final determination of a successful candidates starting salary will vary based on several factors including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
