As a Senior Pre-Sales Solution Engineer (SE) you will be interacting externally with customers from the Australian Defence Industry witha multitudeof different will workwithspecific account execs and colleaguesacross the business from salespeople to delivery experts to highly skilled engineers andyourpeers. Your creativity coupled with youractivelistening and analytical skills will be key topositioning and sellingthe bestsolutionstoprovide desiredbusiness outcomes andmaximumvalue forourcustomers.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing
Theprimaryobjective of a Senior Solution Engineeris to supportVMware by Broadcomssales activities by engaging with customers at various levels building trusted relationshipsand discoveringcustomerneedsthat can bemetby VMwarescomprehensiveservices specifically and predominantly around the VMware Cloud Foundation will worktodevelop afuture state architecture thatwill helpthe customerstoadopt and meet their objectivesaround application modernisation automation and hybrid cloud andtomaximisethe value fromtheirinvestment.
During your first 30 days you will integrate with the ANZ Solution Architect community & learn howtheteamfunctionsand operatesto deliverhighquality and effective solutionsforour customers. You will meet the wider VMwareteam building relationships and startleveragingyour knowledge and ideasin buildingsolidapproachesand bringingcustomers will be provided with product training and onboarding.
After 90 days you will function as a core member of the ANZ Solutions Architect team transitioning to become atrustedadvisorbothinternally to sales teamsand externally to VMware customers. You will create and present customer facing information while working with the customer to educate architect and provide transformation roadmaps helpingthem achieving successful business outcomes.
From this point onwards you will aim to solidify your technical and soft skills via extensive and vast learning platforms brought to you by VMware not only limited to its products and services but covering lot of industry new trends. You will also be expected to share your knowledge and skillset across SE communities and peers in VMware including via junior SEs mentoring best practices sharing and articles / community sharing. Additionally you will get in touch with different VMware business units brainstorming tools and processes improvement and reflect field feedback to R&D.
You will alsobe working on solving complex customer business requirements and large outcome driven transformations design and recommendations. You will be expected to use your problem-solving and technical superior capabilities in creating outcomes driven base multi-dimensional solutions and long-term digital transformation roadmaps.

MappingVMware by Broadcomsservicestothe customersdesiredbusiness outcomesnormallyas part of aVMware should be able to think past products and tailorend-to-endservicessolutions to solve problems.
In order tobuild effective relationshipsin the Defence customers you will be allocated to you will apply yourknowledgein one or more ofthe followingareas-Private Cloud Transformation Networking and ApplicationModernisation
You will beproposingarchitectural designs that not only deliver technical change but alsotakeinto considerationpeople and processes.
You will presentcommunicateandwork closely with your Account Exec extendedaccount teams and our customersdoing presentations running whiteboarding sessions and workshops andbuilding proposals etc.
You will supportthe account execinbuildingcommercial proposalsby developingsound and quantifiabletechnical solutions and content.
You will ensure a smooth handover toour services deliveryteam providingalignmentbetweensalesand deliveryto assurecustomersatisfaction.
You will help build consumption and adoption roadmaps for customers to ensure value and continual engagement with VMware.
You will act a as akeycontributor toaccountstrategyand planning aligning thiswithbusinessunitstrategies including running Exec Briefings with our customers .
You will supportandmentor other members of the teamasappropriate
You willprovide feedback to Solution Architecture Management regarding creating best practices for how to approach customers based on your knowledge from discussions with customers
Youmaybeinvolved in industry eventssuch as VMware Explorethat help promote awareness of VMwaresservices.
You will besupported in setting up and achievingpersonal development goals
You will becoached and helpedtoauthorblogs and linkedin posts.
You will beexpectedto travel as required to visit customers as required but will be fairly minimal.
You will have at least 7 years experience in Pre-Sales roles and Architecture.
You will have as a minimum NV2 level clearance with a preference of PV
You will be very fluent in English both spoken and written.
