Chemours is seeking a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Consultant to join our growing Advanced Performance Materials (APM) Business Sustainability team! This position will report directly to the APM Product Stewardship & Regulatory Manager at our Wilmington DE location or remote.
As a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Consultant you will be part of a close-knit team of motivated and energetic professionals where you will contribute to our business success by providing subject matter expertise on product compliance safety and sustainability. You will be tasked with ensuring the business has information appropriate for decision making and managing work within a sustainability organization.
The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Leading the external regulatory and sustainability sensing to drive implementation of legal safe and trusted sustainability framework
Providing guidance to the business for issue management using all internal Product Sustainability resources to give a full picture and drive decision making
Preparing external communications for product-specific regulatory or sustainability issues
Completing product line sustainability reviews to detect emerging issues confirm compliance and support Corporate Responsibility Commitment (CRC) goals
Leading the Product Sustainability workstream for New Product Development (NPD) process and provide guidance in all Management of Change (MOC) decisions for assigned product lines
Identify and implement improvements to internal processes and include automation where possible
The following is required for this role:
Bachelors degree
Minimum of 5 years experience in sustainability product stewardship or regulatory compliance
At least 2 years experience using Microsoft Office Automation Power BI or similar AI automation data analytics or data visualization tools
Strong analytical communication and project management skills
Proven ability to work independently and collaborate across time zones and functions
High attention to detail results-oriented mindset and strong sense of ownership
The following is preferred for this role:
Degree in chemistry biology environmental science toxicology or a related field
Experience in the chemical industry particularly with fluorinated chemistries
Familiarity with global chemical regulations including EU REACH and US TSCA
Preference for candidates located in Central or Eastern U.S. time zones if remote

The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
